James Murray
Chairman
James is a seasoned business leader with more than 30 years of experience in international markets. A serial entrepreneur, he’s successfully strategized, launched, and managed numerous companies in diverse industries. Included are a trading company with a global customer base, and a retail store offering 6000 products in the UK and online. James brings extensive customer service experience to Invicara, where innovative strategies and cost efficiency tactics helped his start-ups excel.
At Hibergene, James will focus on helping the team to develop commercial relationships by understanding the varied needs of clients and challenging requirements.
James has a bachelor’s in commerce from the National University of Ireland, and is a past chairman of Ireland’s Young President’s Organization (YPO), a global networking organisation.

David Corr PhD, MBA
Chief Executive Officer
Dave is passionate about the commercialization of excellent science and technology. Most familiar with hi-tech business in the Physical and Life Sciences, he founded and ran his Innovation Consulting business, DeCromo Consulting, supporting numerous commercialization projects in academia, SMEs, and Multi-nationals.
Dave held the role of CTO at EKF Diagnostics plc in which he was responsible for coordination and direction of the company’s Technology strategy across several subsidiaries and ensuring New Product outputs aligned to the Commercial and Marketing strategy of the business. As Vice-President of Fund Strategy at Intellectual Ventures, Dave was responsible for the fund’s Investment Plan and strategy, deploying over $300 million in capital to build the business’ patent portfolio across several industry sectors.
An inventor on over 70 patents, principally from his time at NTERA, as a co-founder, he built the business and guided several successful commercial and licensing programmes in addition to facilitating the raise of over $40 million in capital. Dave has a PhD in Chemistry from UCD and an MBA from the Smurfit School of Business.

Peter Kidney
Chief Financial Officer
From 2007 to 2010 Mr Kidney served as Chairman of Chariot Oil and Gas Ltd. and was instrumental in raising app. $100 million and listing the company shares on the UK AIM market in 2008. Mr Kidney was a founding Director of Providence Resources Plc from 1997 to 2010, an AIM listed Oil and Gas exploration and production company where he was also Chairman of its Audit Committee.
Mr Kidney’s career also includes 16 years in the roles of Chief Financial Officer and subsequently CEO at mining company ARCON International Resources Plc, which had a full list on the London & Irish Stock Exchanges. It was during his tenure at ARCON that the Galmoy mine was developed and brought into production, following which the company was sold for approx. $123 million. While at ARCON, Mr Kidney also held the position of Chairman at the Irish Mining Association group (IMEG) between 2004 and 2006. Mr Kidney is a Chartered Accountant with a Diploma in IFRS (with distinction) and his B. Comm. was earned at University College Dublin, Ireland.
